Christmas came early for Grand Theft Auto fans as Rockstar has released a fresh batch of GTA 5 screenshots just in time for the holidays. There's nothing festive about these screenshots, but they do serve as a nice reminder that in just a few months we'll finally have our hands on this highly anticipated game.

Take a break from the family and just take some time to soak in these new screenshots which what appear to be more modes of transportation — including a jet and underwater submarine. Another screenshot also shows the trio of playable characters in GTA 5 — Michael, Trevor, and Franklin.

Last month Rockstar released the second official trailer for GTA 5, giving us a nice look at San Andreas and a brief background at all three main protagonists. Grand Theft Auto 5 is set to release on Xbox 360 and PS3 in spring 2013.
